What’s a Cheese Subscription?
Our Quarterly Cheese Subscription is an opportunity for our community near and far to both receive our tried and true cheeses as well as play a role in the research and development of our new products. Each box will contain three Round Table Farm cheeses, two of our established cheeses and one brand new cheese. It takes a lot of work and feedback to launch a new product, and the Subscription gives us cheesemakers space to devote to trying new recipes and a group of people eager to taste exclusive products and share their opinions on it.
In addition to our own cheeses, each box will also contain other products that we’re excited about in that moment. Products could range from brand new Round Table Farm merchandise, to homemade wooden cheeseboards, to other food products to pair with the cheeses. We will also be choosing many products from businesses that are owned/run by women, BIPOC, trans/gnc and other queer folks.
Boxes will ship every January, April, July, October and your subscription payment will renew the month before your box is shipped. Feel free to cancel or join at any time or skip any box!
So, why is this a Queer Cheese Subscription??
Round Table Farm is deeply influenced by our own queerness. We make cheeses that defy labels and defy expectations. Although we’re inspired by recipes for traditional styles of cheeses, our cheesemaking doesn’t rely on the standards of those cheeses and instead relies on our own senses, tastes, preferences, and explorations.
We are also proud to be queer rural farmers. Growing up or moving to a rural community as a queer individual or family can be daunting when queer community isn’t as present or as visible as it may be in larger cities. We hope to be proudly queer to be a space for community to gather and to highlight/support other rural queer farmers and makers.
Is this Subscription only for the LGBTQIA+ Community?
No! This Subscription is for everyone who loves cheese, wants to be the first to try our new products, or wants to support small businesses. We believe deeply in the beauty of gathering together with food at the center. We hope that your cheese subscription inspires you to gather with your loved ones to enjoy good food and quality time.
